Site Survey, Booking and Timing
Drone photography and videography Can be affected by the UK weather conditions, therefore our Photography services naturally come with a flexible approach when scheduling a clients project. There are certain drones that can operate within rain and low levels of wind however the final cut can be affected and is therefore not the first recommendation.
What information do we need from you?
Prior to the job We will need the client to provide us with the location of the desired job and the postcode. Please also provide us with the ideal date and a brief containing as much information as possible surrounding the intended photography or videography drone service you require.
Surveying the Site
Before we arrive at the intended location, using the brief provided by the client, we can complete an initial site survey to assess whether the job is possible and if there are any factors, flight restrictions or aviation permissions that must be considered before taking to the skies. In some cases the CAA Requires us to make a physical site visit in order to complete our pre-flight survey. Every job is unique and will bring its own factors into play during the site surveying process.
Booking Drone Services
Providing that the site survey is positive, we will send you a quotation for the drone photography services that you have enquired about, with a detailed brief of what the job will include and a provisional date that we take flight.
Weather
In order to avoid disappointment we monitor the weather forecast 3 to 5 days in advance of any shoot to understand the weather condition on the day of filming. If we believe that the weather conditions will jeopardise the final work or the ability to fly the drones we will contact the client as soon as possible prior to the filming date. In this unfortunate event we will also reschedule the shoot for the next suitable dates according to the weather forecast and of course at no additional cost to the client. Is the weather conditions are something we cannot avoid due to factors outside our control such as a live event, the drone professionals will remain on site as long as possible in order to find gaps within the weather where we can capture the project requirements.

Aerial Photography Sheffield recognises that there are a vast number of benefits available from using a drone photographer. There is a wide variety of projects that you may be considering, so please review the list below to get an idea of what is possible. Below are some main points that we believe as a company, a drone can offer as a benefit to you and your project:
One of the biggest breakthroughs using drone filming has been in reducing the extreme costs related to building surveying. The cost of scaffolding and hardnesses required to view high level brickwork for example, was both time consuming and dangerous. A UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) can solve that problem in a matter of minutes. In comparison to a helicopter, UAV photography is a tenth of the price and a tenth of the noise. This is just one industry that our services have helped reduce costs. Please contact us to understand how we can help you in your industry.
